Marshall Muse Art Gallery began as a historic Greensboro residence in need of significant restoration and transformation. CGCS worked to preserve the home’s original character while reimagining the interior as a refined, contemporary gallery. The completed space blends historic architectural details with clean modern finishes, creating an elegant and welcoming setting for exhibitions, gatherings, and creative experiences.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with the gallery’s owner and curator to ensure that every element of the renovation supported their vision. From the flow of the exhibition areas to the lighting, finishes, and preservation of the building’s distinctive features, each detail was carefully considered.

Today, Marshall Muse serves as much more than a traditional art gallery.

The space hosts yoga sessions, art classes, children’s programs, workshops, and community events. A beer and wine bar in the main gallery allows guests to enjoy refreshments during exhibitions, openings, and other art-centered gatherings. The result is a sophisticated yet approachable destination where art, education, and community come together in a truly distinctive Greensboro setting.
